Anson Resources appoints Novonix for testing the performance of its lithium in actual batteries. The testing is expected to start in February, and should take four to five months to complete.

“The commencement of the Novonix battery performance testing program is the next significant step forward for Anson in the development of the lithium production from the Paradox brines." Anson’s Executive Chairman and CEO Bruce Richardson says.

“We are confident our lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate samples will perform strongly given the results of previous purity test work confirmed that the samples we produced exceeded customer standards. Novonix is a provider of high precision battery testing, equipment and advanced R&D services to several Tier 1 battery makers and OEM’s around the world, giving Anson a platform for global exposure which can greatly assist discussions with off-take partners this year.”

“By conducting its own battery cell performance test work, rather than providing a sample to one potential producer to conduct the test, Anson believes it will broaden its potential customer base and increase offtake opportunities.”
