Utilight has develop a disruptive laser printing technology for high-volume manufacturing of solar cells and printed electronics.
Utilight was established in 2009 in Israel and has a strong Asian customer focus, plus research collaborations in China and Australia. Utilight’s founders include two entrepreneurs who founded, built and took public Nova (NASDAQ.NVMI), a semiconductor company, which has a market capital value of US$0.7b.

The first application of Utilight’s proprietary technology is in solar photovaltaic or PV cell manufacturing with its Pattern Transfer Printing system or PTP™ System. The demand for solar panels is growing enormously, but the industry is faced with tremendous downward price pressure and limited advances in cell efficiency. The PTP™ System is able to easily retrofitted by manufacturers into existing production lines and enable solar cells production with greater efficiency and reduce the most expensive input, silver paste, by up to 70%.
