Trevor St. Baker
Founder and Deputy Chairman
Trevor St Baker AO has been involved in the energy industry since 1957, starting as a cadet engineer with the NSW Electricity Commission.
In the 1990’s Trevor established one of Australia’s first private power development companies, developing the Oakey gas-fired power station, and then a further five new gas-fired power stations, in WA, NSW and Queensland. This represented 50% of all new power generation developments constructed in Australia in the 2000’s.
In 2012, Trevor established Sunset Power International (SPI) and in 2014, SPI acquired the last NSW Government-owned base-load generation business, Delta Electricity, owner, and operator of the 1,320MW Vales Point power station which was sold in 2022.
Trevor has a passion for mentoring young companies and in 2013 he created the St Baker Energy Innovation Fund.
