The St Baker Energy Innovation Fund invested in AMSL Aero
The St Baker Energy Innovation Fund is proud to support AMSL Aero through its Series B round alongside Hostplus, TelstraSuper, and IP Group, Inc.
"AMSL Aero was founded by former Yamaha Motor Australia aeronautical engineer Andrew Moore and former Google director of people operations Siobhan Lyndon in 2017. The company has designed an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 kilometres per hour."
The helicopter-esque electric aircraft called Vertiia, is an emissions-free, long range (1000km) electric air taxi, serving the aeromedical, emergency services and passenger sectors. Vertiia will be highly affordable and will enable people to take to the skies for a faster and safer commute. It will connect our regional communities and reduce the cost of road infrastructure.
“The prospects are promising for this business. We believe they will play a large role in the future of safe, energy efficient and time-saving intercity aircraft travel,” St Baker Energy Innovation Fund chief executive Rodger Whitby said.
